We feature two batting cages with Hack Attack Jr pitching machines for consistent game-speed reps, along with HitTrax technology to track real-time hitting data and analyze performance. Ballerz Academy Founder & Owner

Mike Coker

Mike Coker has been training and coaching baseball and softball athletes for over 20 years, spanning T-ball to 18U travel ball teams. He attended and played baseball for Laney College where he was scouted by MLB teams. An Alameda native, he attended Saint Joseph's High School playing Varsity baseball for 3 years. He grew up playing Little League and Babe Ruth through the programs in Alameda and won countless awards throughout his playing career.

Baseball Coach

Travis Musgrave

Travis Musgrave brings over a decade of coaching experience to the field, ranging from T-ball to 11U teams. His proven track record in developing players for success at the next level is complemented by his recent recognition as the recipient of the 2024 Alameda Little League Bill Matteucci Positive Coaching Award - For modeling and teaching the importance of "honoring the game" - emphasizing in respect for rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and traditions of baseball.

Our Teams

Ready to take your game to the next level? Utilize your skills gained at Ballerz Academy on the diamond by playing for a Ballerz Tournament Baseball team. For 2025 Summer and Fall Tournaments we will have teams for 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, and 12U divisions.

12 Players max per team
2 Practices per week (1 Field practice, 1 Indoor hitting practice)
Up to 2 tournaments per month
For serious, committed players & coaches only.
At least 1 non-dad coach per team
